GoDiverse is a diversity hiring portal for women, people with differential ability and LGBT community. We are a referral job and career portal where we make use of community network to fill up job openings and in turn make the community grow by means of referral money they earn every time a job seeker finds a job. We place diverse candidates in organizations who are inclusive in their conduct, practices and policies. We catalyze and collaborate with job-seekers from diverse backgrounds, not-for-profit organizations (NGO’s) and organizations which are inclusive in their policies, procedures and practices. We want to support women and people with differential ability in their quest for professional satisfaction and financial independence. But there’s more to the site than just listing jobs – our aim is to create a community for top employers in the country to meet this talent and create a diversified corporate culture.
There is a need for Diversity Celebration, the basic idea for diversity celebration is to support and enhance the country’s mission of “to create equal opportunities for everyone,” by providing a venue where diverse perspectives, cultures and values are accepted, appreciated and celebrated.
In striving to foster an atmosphere that promotes inclusion and collaboration among all sectors of the corporate, the Diversity Celebration is a living, breathing entity with a sweet spirit that underscores the organization’s commitment to honor diversity in all its aspects.
Diversification is not new to Indian companies. But today there is more thought and planning behind the moves. Before the Indian economy opened up in 1991, Indian firms diversified primarily based on the licenses and used to follow a traditional culture within the organization. But even in that protected environment, success was not assured.
The current diversification strategies are better planned, observers note: the deals are about hedging risks, expanding geographical reach, maximizing assets, reviving brands, and backward and forward integration among the employees. But by and large, companies today are driven, more by the need to make a difference to their revenues and profits, rather than just making a quick buck. “Now there are many more opportunities for companies as a diverse environment always harness success”, says Saikat Chaudhuri, a Wharton management professor
GoDiverse is committed to enhancing the quality and quantity of opportunities for women and people with differential abilities and investing in these professionals through various phases of their career.
